Renee Price: Before being elected to the Board of County Commissioners in 2012, Renee Price's career was in planning, development, sustainability and preservation, ranging from New York City to Alabama to Orange County.
With degrees from Tufts (BA) and Cornell (MRP), she worked on inner city revitalization and affordable housing in NYC, as well as rural resources for the NYS Legislature.
Since arriving in Orange County in 1990, she has worked on rural development, sustainable farming and conservation. For two years, she worked on sustainable forestry for marginalized landowners in Alabama. She has held numerous leadership posts for health, human services, justice and the economy at the state and national level.
She co-founded Free Spirit Freedom, a cultural arts initiative that celebrates the county's rich, historical diversity. She enjoys leisure time with Michael Carmichael.
