Nina Morley Daye

Neighbor to Neighbor Rural Organizing Chair

I grew up in Fayetteville, NC and attended Appalachian State University. I moved to Orange County in August of 1981 to teach at Orange High School where I taught many different students in a variety of science classes for 38.5 years (NBCT, 2006, 2016 AYA physics). During this time, I earned a MAT in science education (physics) from NC State. In 2001, I started the FIRST Robotics Competition Team 587: The Hedgehogs. I continue to serve as a lead mentor for this award-winning team from Orange and Cedar Ridge High Schools today. I lead the hardworking leadership committee of the N2N-ROC (Neighbor to Neighbor Rural Organizing Committee) of OCDP.
