Poll Observing
Poll observers are the eyes and ears on the ground during early voting and on election day to ensure that voting processes are working smoothly at the polling locations. Poll Observers report issues such as long lines, non-functioning voting machines, access problems for people with disabilities, and voter intimidation.

Poll Observers are required to complete the 2024 North Carolina Poll Observing Training in order to do poll observing.

What are a poll greeter’s primary responsibilities?
1. Project a positive and enthusiastic attitude about the importance of voting.
2. Provide voters with helpful information about Democratic candidates running in the 2024 Primary Election.
3. Thank people for voting when they arrive and leave the polling place!
